WAE - August 27, 2022 FALL EVENT
Doberman Pinscher Club of Detroit
A Working Aptitude Evaluation, WAE, is intended to assess a Doberman Pinscher's temperament. It offers Doberman Pinscher owners an opportunity to enter their Dobermans and accompany them through several stations while they are evaluated by a Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA) approved evaluator. If the evaluator passes a Doberman dog or bitch, he/she receives a Working Aptitude Certificate, WAC, which indicates that he/she has the characteristics required of a Doberman to be a stable companion and a resolute protector.
The WAC is one of three awards a Doberman must achieve to earn a Register of Merit (ROM) award from the DPCA. The other two awards needed are an American Kennel Club (AKC) conformation championship in the show ring and an approved working title (for example, a Companion Dog, CD, in the obedience ring).
